The Tarrystone Players are a friendly award-winning amateur theatrical company based in Cookham in Berkshire. We stage productions at the Pinder Hall in Lower Road, Cookham, as well as appearing at local events.

News from 2009:

  The Tarrystone Players had a departure from their usual get together play readings in November '09, with a public rehearsed reading of "A Dog's Life" by Pam Valentine. The meeting was held in the Function Room of The Crown, on Cookham Moor and gave newcomers a chance to meet the members and enjoy an entertaining performance which couldn't fail to bring a tear to the eye of anyone who has ever shared their life with a canine friend.

Our Spring 2009 production was "Play Idol", an evening of one-act plays:

The Lover by Harold Pinter	A Year in Red Braces by MJ Saunders	Background Artiste by Stephen Smith

Each night, the audience was invited to vote for their favourite play.  The overall winner, "A Year in Red Braces", was performed again at Maidenhead Drama Festival, along with "The Lover".
